Annually we bring together the area's best and brightest aspiring artists in a showcase like non-other. Our Annual Talent Hunt features high school performers in music, dance, dramatic interpretation and the visual arts - competing for cash prizes and the opportunity to advance to the State, District and International levels for more awards.

Competition Rules, Prizes & Eligibility

  • Open to all area high school students

  • Registration deadline is Sunday, March 30 

  • Registration must be accompanied by a performance video, in performance attire, in a performance environment 

  • Cash Prizes: First $1000; Runner-up $500; Third $250

Specifics for performing and visual art:

  • For Music: vocal and instrumental; classical; semi-classical (i.e., Broadway musical production, movie score), gospel and jazz

    • ​A printed copy of the music (score) is required for the judges to analyze

    • ​**No Top-40 musical performances are allowed unless they meet the criteria listed for semi-classical. No hip-hop or rap performances allowed**

  • For Dance: ballet, modern dance, and tap

  • For Dramatic Interpretation: poetry, oration, monologue, etc. (printed script must be provided for each judge)

  • For Visual Art: sculpture, photography, drawing, and painting (3 to 5 pieces for judging)

  • ​ All presentations including instrumental numbers must be memorized, dignified, and in good taste. Presentations that are not memorized cannot be considered for prizes.
